Bimmer Toolset

Hello guys,

I've had Bimmer Toolset for a few days and am still using it, but unfortunately I'm still having a few problems.

I have an Icom, but I cannot use it to establish a connection to the vehicle because it cannot find the `E89 directory.
(Standard tools etc. available and functional)

If I set the Ediabas.ini to the Icom, Bimmer-toolset no longer opens because it then reports an error in the .ini file.

Reading EEPROM works. open, rewrite the VIN and the route and save the file as well.
But unfortunately when I write I always get the error message API-0016.
In Ediabas this means that the ignition is missing, but it is permanently on and also blocked in the .ini
No matter whether with ICOM or D-Kcan cable.

I would be very happy about help and thanks in advance.

Writing EEPROM KOMBI is only working with a virgin EEPROM!

Pleas do not edit the inifiles manually. Use the Bimmer Toolset to change the connection.

I didn't exactly understand what is your problem with the E89 folder. Can you explain this in more detail?

then i change the EEPROM and try it after that again


with E89 i mean. i couldnt connect the Software with the car.
In my Case i try it with an BMW E91 and then came the error code with e89 dirrectory...

error ediabas.ini -> use remote.ini, the tool can only use these settings.


for error with E9x, change the file name in ecu folde: e89.prg in e89x.prg

Its e89x and doesnt work :/

See my picture. Remote.ini i have in ec-Apps/ediabas
where do I have to link these in the toolset?

copy the file: E89x.prg and change the name to E89.prg.
